Our story

Deliberate: our name, our intention, our hope

Deliberate Ventures was created in 2018 by Caen Contee to boldly and bravely face the greatest challenges of our time. Doing so by leveraging one of humankind’s greatest instruments for change: innovative technology companies started by passionate entrepreneurs – or, as we call them, rebels with a cause.

Guided by our four P’s — Planet, Prosperity, Purpose, and Passion — our horizon has no vanishing point. To be “deliberate” is to think in systems at the quantum level of business and psychology to proactively take the right actions at the right time. We claim no mastery of this, for it is a lifelong practice, but strive to see the light through the trees.

We strongly believe that environmental, social, and governance efforts (ESG), as well as those in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), are not trending buzzwords, but integral values imperative for ethical and successful day-to-day business on a truly global and interconnected scale. Therefore, we invest in, advise, consult, and incubate global, mission-driven companies driving positive change.
